IPL Lazer Hair Removal

IPL hair removal is a safe and highly successful method of hair reduction. It uses technology to target each hair follicle and slow down the growth cycle, stopping the follicle producing hair as quickly.
The more treatments you have, the slower the regrowth so we recommend having 4-6 treatments for it to be effective and successful.
We are reminding you that this treatment does NOT permanently stop the growth of the hairs but slows down the growth cycle.

IPL- Hair Reduction

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. To get a more accurate treatment a small hand piece is used to pass light energy to certain areas of the body. IPL is not the same to laser although it is similar. Laser only produces one light energy wavelength whereas IPL uses a white light which contains all wavelengths visible from red to blue.
An IPL machine produces a sudden burst of light which is passed down fibre optic tubes into the hand piece. The therapist will apply a cooling gel to the area being treated to help the therapist glide the hand piece along the skin giving better contact for good light conduction to the dermis and epidermis. The hand piece is then placed on the area of skin which is to be treated.
The procedure can be a little uncomfortable, with a slight tingling or heat sensation. Treatments can be repeated every 4-6 weeks over a course of 4-10 treatments depending on the area being treated and the individual client.

Laser Tattoo Removal

In the past tattoos were erased by removing the skin tissue.  This lead to significant scarring, that would in many cases look more unsightly than the tattoo that had been removed.  The discovery of ‘selective photothermolysis’ means that it is now possible to target tattoo ink, without causing damage to the surrounding tissue structure – by using a laser.

At Affable Treatments we provide a safe and effective treatment using the advanced technology of the LBrite Q switched Nd:YAG treat and remove a range of coloured or black tattoo’s.
